Quality Evaluation:
To create a line of superior soups, we first evaluated our line as a whole to determine which of our existing flavors had room for improvement. From there, we began an ongoing process to ensure that each flavor is exactly what your customers desire when they visit your restaurant.

Consumer Feedback:
We invited consumers to give us their input on our current flavors and insight into what they want in a soup. Their thorough evaluations gave us a better understanding of what improvements needed to be made to which soups.

Recipe Standardization:
Based on consumer feedback, we pinpointed a group of soups to be redesigned, and created a new recipe standard for those flavors to meet. Enhancements, depending on the variety, included amount of key ingredients, overall appearance, texture and, of course, flavor.

Sample Development:
We used our new recipe standard to craft samples of the improved flavors for testing.

Consumer Testing:
We had consumers from across the country test the soup samples, which allowed us to evaluate our progress and determine what still needed tweaking. We had consumers assess each aspect from appearance to aroma to flavor.

Recipe Modification:
We used the feedback from consumer testing to continue to enhance and retest the recipes until each flavor met consumer expectations. This process allowed us to determine the necessary steps to create a consistently superb frozen soup.

Statement of Quality:
Only when our soups had proved to have the great flavor and quality consumers expected were they relabeled with the “Taste Tested, Guest Preferred™” seal.
